Official HR Partner of the 2013 European Championship
Adecco Employment Agency was the sponsoring supplier of EuroBasket 2013 and the exclusive recruitment partner for the organisation of the European Basketball Championship, hosted by Slovenia in 2013. We successfully completed the search and selection for the most exposed position of the Championship, the 2013 European Championship Director.
Adecco Cup
Since 2009, the Slovenian men’s national team has been playing preparatory matches as part of the Adecco Cup.
2012
From 3rd to 5th August, Stožice hosted the fourth Adecco Cup, where the national teams of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina competed.
2011
20 years after the break-up of the commonwealth, the Adecco EX YU Cup was the first time that all the successors of the legendary Yugoslavian national team competed against each other. The competition took place from 6th to 9th of August at the Stožice Sports Hall. Once again, the Adecco Cup was part of the Slovenian national team’s preparatory matches for the European Basketball Championship.
2010
The Slovenian basketball team competed against New Zealand, Russia and Serbia. The Adecco Cup is one of the rare occasions when the Slovenian national team plays on home soil. Slovenian fans were able to watch the best Slovenian players take on quality teams from all over Europe live in Maribor. In parallel, the Street challenge in street basketball took place. 22 teams competed, 12 active and 10 VIP, which were made up of business representatives.
2009
The first Adecco Cup took place from 28th to 30th of August 2009 in Maribor. The men’s national team tournament featured preparatory matches Slovenia : Bulgaria, Greece : Bulgaria and Slovenia : Greece. On the second day of the Cup, an all-day street basketball tournament took place on the outdoor courts of the Maribor Sports Centre.
